Hello Everyone! Today i'll present you the Patch 1.20 from Final Fantasy XIV
I'll show you the new feature in this update, it's also the last update while the game is free, in January, we'll have to pay to play it
This patch doesn't add lot of content such as Monster to fight
It's more content on the Core of the game, like the change made to the jobs systems, now jobs have their identity
It's the first thing i'll talk about today because i think it's the biggest thing in this update
The first thing about the Jobs change is most ability has changed
They have the same animation but they doesn't work the same way anymore
There's also less ability, before it was easy to get the full 3 Action bar with only one job
it's not the case anymore, now with one jobs, we can get 1 bar and half full of ability
We also can't get some ability from other jobs anymore, so now we don't have to level lot of job only to get one ability
And it'll allow some job to play because only them can do some ability
Another big change is the Jobs trait systems, now jobs are learning them with Level, there's no need to go to a NPC and buy them with Guild Points
There's lot more of them now, they are mostly used to increase some of the ability of the job
That make the ability be way more usefull than if we're using it on another jobs, because we wont have access to the jobs trait
These change are really nice because it really give an identity to job, but that's probably why we didn't got much content in this update
Because they had to change the whole content that was added before this patch, so it could be done with the new jobs, they also add to balance the new job
We can still see lot of diference on Ifrit for exemple, it changed and now it take longer to kill him
This is one of the new change on the jobs, another one is that now it's possible to choose stats again by getting level
We don't get to choose all stats like we used to, but we get to choose a few stats, in addition of the one we're already getting by leveling
We need to be careful though because we can't change the stats we get once they're chosen, it'll be possible on the next patch 1.21
For the battle systems, they've added a combo systems, it look a little like the Battle Regiment Systems we had before
They removed it before and said they'll make change to the systems
The combo systems is really simple, when you're using a ability, and then doing a 2nd one right after, you can get some bonus effect such as more damage
As Mage for exemple, AoE Spell can be changed into Single Target Spell, they'll only hit one mob
And it'll do more damage, as Melee, A Combo can reduce a ability TP to 0, so we can do 2 Ability for the price of one
And so we can increase our damage, the systems is more simple than the Battle Regiments one
Because once we used an ability, the next ability to use is in a Violet Circle
And the effect are written on the ability
This is it for the battle systems, now for the Gran Company and the quest
For the Gran Company, the Rank were added, to increase Rank, we'll have to trade Seal
And sometime, we'll also have to do some Quest that are given by the Gran Company
So that's it, then we can buy more items, the higher Rank we are, the strongest items we can get
The other change made are just update of the old content they added, for exemple before to get Seal, we had to do Company Leve at Level 30
Now they added more leve for diferent Level, they also added more caravan security missions

For the quest, it's in this update they added the Moogle Fight, it's the new High Level Fight of the game
I wont speak much of it because i'll do a video of this fight
I can talk about the quest to get access to it though, it's just to fight NM, within Treant that we could see in the Game Intro from Gridania
It's not possible the fight these treant though because they're hitting to 9999, nobody in the game can survive that
Nice quest, the problem is, we have to fight them over again once we kill the moogle, so once moogle is dead, we have to fight NM for over half a hours
We can hope Square-Enix will change that in the futur, except that, Nice fight and Nice quest
We can notice though that on this fight, and it's also the case for ifrit Fight now, at the end of the battle, we can get with Armor, some Totem
These Totems are used to buy Armor stuff from the boss, so if we're fighting the boss for a while and we still ahve no drops, we can trade these totems to get the armors
Really nice new feature from the drops feature, so about the other new feature in the game
It's the Achievement systems, the Achievements systems is some kind of quest log, that allow us to get reward by finishing achievement
To unlock them, we first have to speak to a few NPC, they'll unlock each Achievement Categorie
We have for exemple the battle achivement, it'll ask us to kill a number of enemie, or thing like that
It can give us reward such as Armor or Title, to do a quick exemple, when we leveled all jobs at level 50
We get an items that give all stats +10, it remind me a lot of the Maat's Cap, it was an items in Final Fantasy XI we had when we had all jobs to level max, and it also increased all Stats
It work the same way, it's a lot like a quest Log, we do a achievement and get a reward
Another new feature in the game is the search function
It's a really simple function, we just have to search for which level we're looking for, and then check if they're seeking for Party or other event
It's possible to seek and also to leave a comment, about where you like do Exp Party or thing like that
So really nice systems, it make the party making systems not usefull anymore, this function should've been here since the game release
But thanksfully now it's possible to search player!
I think i spoke about everything from this update, they also made a few little change at the UI
We have no the Micro Party, it allow us to accept a party invite or a raise without going to the principal menu
We can also notice that when we're getting raise, a message will now appear and show that we did got a raise
So now we don't have to always have the menu open, we can see when someone's raising us, it was a little problem from the last update, but a really bothering one
They also made change to the craft, now crafted items ask for less materials
And lot of small change like this
One of the big new feature that isn't here yet but should be in the 1.20a update
It'll be possible to buy now items from the search function in the Market Ward, so now it'll work a little like the Action House from Final Fantasy XI or other MMORPG
This is pretty much all the big new feature from this update, now the real question to ask ourself is, is the game worth paying to play it ?
Another thing to note is that the game will cost a little less money before the version 2.0, it'll be at 10Ç i think instead of 13Ç, so now you have to ask you this question
Should i play to pay now, or should i wait for 2.0, something to remember too is that most of the content like storyline wont be in the version 2.0
