Alright now that you've got your dots melted in, you'll see kind of in this area here,
where this amethyst bead, this amethyst dot, has been forced into a diamond. What we're
going to do now is use a stringer, which is a thinner piece of glass, and we're going
to apply accent dots. We're going to leave these dots to be three dimensional and raised
on the surface rather than melting them in. What we're going to do is on the large dots
that are the bigger diamonds, we're going to apply one dot on each end. And the smaller
dots that come together in the center to complete the harlequin pattern, we're going to apply
a dot right in the center of that pattern. We're going to go around and do that to the
entire bead. Again, stringers melt a little bit faster so you want to make sure that you
get your dots as evenly spaced and as evenly sized as possible. These dots create a really
interesting texture against the skin when they're worn. Now, you've gone around and
you've placed all of your three dimensional dots but they're not all the way secure to
the surface yet. So what you want to do is go ahead and heat them in just a little bit
to make sure there is no undercutting underneath these three dimensional dots so that they
don't pop off as you're, as the person who buys your jewelry is wearing them. So I'm
going to go ahead and heat just a little bit more to even those out and I'm going to bring
it out of the flame and let it cool down a bit so you can see what the finished product
would look like. And there's your Mardi Gras bead.
