1994 to 2004 Mustangs are notorious for having
broken door panel inserts.
Replacing them is super easy and takes
just a few minutes of your time.
To remove year old one, start at the top here.
Push down and pull out.
Relieve that top clip.
Pull up on the front, and then release the clip
back here at the back just by pulling up.
Then you can pull your wiring harness out a little bit,
grab your flat blade screwdriver,
and remove the connector for your power mirror switch.
Then grab you a Phillips head, and remove the two screws
holding the switch panel to the door panel insert.
The switch panel comes free.
Now you've got two tabs that hold
this power mirror switch into place.
You're going to have to press both of them
in and try and shove it out at the same time.
It will take a little bit of effort to get it free.
It'll snap out.
Then you can grab your new door panel insert.
Now this is a direct fit for '94 to '98
because it's already black.
If you've got a '94 to '04, you will need to paint it.
Snap your mirror switch back into place.
Engage your door lock switches.
Finger start your two screws.
Then take your Phillips screwdriver,
and tighten them down.
You don't want to over tighten them
because you don't want to break your new bezel.
Then you can plug in your power mirror switch.
And your new bezel comes with a new clip,
so you don't have to transfer the old one.
To reinstall, slide your switch all the way up into place.
Engage the back of the insert, and slide the clip into place.
And then engage your top clip, and you're done.
Now again, '99 to '04, you will have to paint it.
