>>ANCHOR: More and more cell phones are coming equipped with video cameras, as you know.
That's making it a whole lot easier for the deaf and hard-of-hearing. Today, Sorenson
Communications announced a new video-phone service at RIT. It's called "N-Touch" for
PC and "N-Touch" for Mobile. It means people who use a home-based Web camera to communicate
using sign language can do the same thing with a cell phone or a laptop. The CEO says
this is something he is proud to roll out and roll out at RIT's National Technical Institute
for the Deaf, which is a place where he has recruited many new hires for his company.
>>PAT NOLA: We actually have a technical support center that we've hired almost all the students
from that center, all the people from that center, from NTID. So it's been a terrific
partnership for us, and it's a great area for us to launch a product.
>>ANCHOR: Right now the N-Touch service for mobile phones is only available on the Android
Evo, but if you'd like more information you can go to WHEC.com and click on "Web links."
