The UOIT Gen-F or Genereation First project is a newly created program
for first generation students at UOIT.
You are a first generation student if your parents or guardians have not attended
post secondary education.
This means either university or college.
If you have a sibling who has attended post secondary education,
but your parents or guardians still have not,
you are still considered a first generation student.
The Gen-F: Generation First Project
has a peer-mentor program, special events, and workshops
designed specifically for UOIT first generation students.
We are currently recruiting peer mentors for the program,
but also, mentees, and those who would like to join us in the Gen-F community.
For more information on this project, and how to apply to the peer mentor program,
please visit: studentexperience.uoit.ca/firstgeneration
So - who are our UOIT first generation students?

Resilient.
We are intelligent.
This is your generation.
Your UOIT.
Be the first.
