O.k. now that we're, we got our clay ready; we want to make sure we have the proper tools
for the job here. I'm going to start off with our rubber rib; it's a great one, you can
make any shape you want. Needle tool and another needle tool for when I lose this because I
always do; and the potter's knife. And we got our two natural sponges for throwing and
our manufactured sponge here for clean up to reattach our handles, and all that stuff.
So now that we're ready; go get our water ready, tools assorted not cluttering my wheel
head with a whole bunch of tools; you only need those. So go and cut off your allotted
amount of clay; beer steins I like to use a fair amount and when I want to make sure
they know there; they have a nice sturdy mug that's in their hand. And if you can't eyeball
it that well just make a mark like that and that'll be the same amount of clay every time;
especially with this piece, it's the same width; just go and put it right there; make
a mark, right there make a mark, there I make a mark. So now we got 1 2 3 4 5 6 pieces that
we're; it's all going to be the same, it's all going to be consistent. So we're going
to go ahead and take these to the wheel.
