Mark Llanto: To register a car in Dubai, basically, you need this insurance certificate from an
insurance company or from a broker like us. Arsalan Nawaz: You need that vehicle
registration card if it's a renewal. Shalni Babur: Otherwise, if it's the first
time that you're buying the car, then your showroom will provide you a sales or purchase
agreement which has the chassis number and engine number which we need to issue the policy
for you. Arsalan Nawaz: Plus your driver's license
both sides. Shalni Babur: If you have less than one year
of UAE license, then most probably, your license from your home country will also be needed.
Jeffrey Cruz: And you need to be, of course, a resident in Dubai so it requires either
passport or Visa copy or Emirates ID so it's a very minimal requirement they need here
in Dubai. Shalni Babur: That document is certainly required.
And, of course, if you declare that you have any no claim history, then any sort of certificate
or self-declaration document confirming your no claim status is also essential.
Jeffrey Cruz: Basically, the process of registering a car here in UAE or here in Dubai is you
need to get the proper documents first like the policy either third-party or comprehensive
policy is the minimal requirements with traffic department. The vehicle registration
card ID, of course, you also have to settle if you have any outstanding traffic fine.
You can go to any RTA branch or Tasjeel, have the car tested, get it passed
first for road worthiness, and then you can register the car from there or you can also
call us here, we can also handle that for you. We have what we call door-to-door executive
registration service where one of our personnel will come to your place, pick up the car,
do the necessary procedure, and then bring back the car to the same location so it's
less hassle basically. That's one of the offers also that we have here in AFIA.
