this is extremely cute model of the bottle ballerina. you would require an old water
bottle, a cutter, glue and a stiff straw. first cut the bottle with a cutter into two
halves, almost equal halves. you will see that one is the base part. in the base part
cut parallel strips, in the lower part, about 16. they will come out like petals. there
are 16 petals over here and they are all parallel. then with a hot needle poke a hole in the
base of the bottle which is slightly stiff. then take a stick and press fit it in this
hole. see this is the portion. now take these petals and twist them like the blades of the
fan so that they get a little curvature. now this will be the base over here. make a hole
in the lid and then take a straw. press fit it in the lid. you can dab some glue to fix
it in place. now you can take the part with the stick and put it in the straw. the assembly
is almost complete. one at the top has got....if you put it under the fan, the top part keeps
rotating very smoothly and you can see that the lower part also keeps shaking and moving
a little bit. then you decorate the entire model with colored cello tapes. and if you
place it under a fan, the top one whirls very very smoothly. it spins very nicely. in america
people throw away half a billion water bottles in a week. and it is a good toy to make. look
how pretty this model looks. if you place it on a table you can see that lower portion
also.... this also moves slowly in a circle. its a very dynamic very wonderful model. if
you put a ballerina on this stick then you can convert this into bottle ballerina. what
fun!
