Hey, Curls. Today I just wanted to talk to you about my hair length goals.
And when I first went natural, I had no idea
what I would do next. It was really short. It was maybe
three or four inches long. I think it was last year when I developed
a real hair goal. I have two types of goals.
I think I have a realistic goal and a fantasy goal.
I want to grow my hair to tailbone length and I believe I can do it.
And my fantasy goal is to grow my hair to
floor length, which sounds kind of crazy for 4C
type hair, but I'm willing to try to do it. I might be thirty-something by the
time I finish, but
I'm going to try. I've recently calculated
how long its really been since I've been natural
and I started in May because
in June I remember that I was graduating
June 10th and I had braids in. So it's been over three years since I went
natural. I did my big chop in September
of 2010, so this mean that I've been three years and about seven months natural
and I'm excited to go on to my
fourth year of being natural. I did a length check
at the end of 2013 and if you haven't watched that video yet
I'll put the link down in the description box. So, in that video,
I reached a milestone that I've been
waiting on for a long time and that's mid-back length hair.
I actually put my hair goals into my "About Me"
section on my channel, so if you'd like to go check that out,
feel free. My first and most important goal is to maintain healthy hair.
Healthy hair... Is to maintain healthy hair. Healthy hair.
Hair. Hair. Healthy hair.
So what I imagine my hair to be like when it gets to
tailbone length...It's gonna be big.
'Cause it's really big right now, but...
It'll be at least two times bigger than this.
This isn't even its biggest. My subscribers,
you guys have seen how big it can get.
Some of you might ask when I hit tailbone
length, will I straighten my hair?
I'm on the fence about that. I don't know, but I probably will.
It's just I'm a little afraid to
straighten my hair 'cause its to me it's fragile.
I don't wanna do all of that work and then end up damaging it
because I was stupid with a flat-iron or something.
So, I don't know. Bear with me.
I will probably wear it in twists and braids
and then do twist... Excuse me. I'll do twist-outs and braid-outs
and I'm not sure if I'll do any up styles because I kind of get a headache
even now. That reminds me of when I first started using Shea butter.
It's kinda heavy and my hair had grown
and those two things together were making my neck hurt.
I had put my hair up into a bun or
ponytail. Then, the next day, I got
a massage and I feel like that loosened up my muscles even more.
I was so in pain so if I get my hair that length,
to tailbone length, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be wearing it
up on the top of my head or in this area
because I'm not trying to snap my head off.
Uh-uh. How in the world? How in the world am
I going to grow floor length hair?
Well, I'm just gonna keep doing what I've been doing and
adjust to any situations that may occur.
"What are you thankin'? Girl, what is you thankin'? What is you thankin'? What is you thankin'? What are you thinkin'? Girl, what are you thinking? What are you thinking? Oh, my goodness. What are you thinking? What are you thinkin'?
Well, I'm thinking that I can have long
beautiful hair that touches
the floor or my ankles and
I don't know, I just really wanna have really long hair. I kind of have
a thought that maybe I could be
one of the first or the first girl with natural
4C scared to touch the floor or come close to the floor.
That would be pretty cool, in my eyes. Maybe I could be the 4C Rapunzel.
Interesting. Hmm...
That's all, guys. I just wanted to share my thoughts and my dreams.
(Singing) *And my dreams. And my dreams.
And my dreams. And my dreams. And my dreams!*
I wanna give a big shout out and a big ole cyber hug
to all of my subscribers and all of you who are viewing this video.
I love you guys. XOXO!
