Dear friends, today our night master class takes place on the seafront of Yalta.
We are at the Yalta blue sea. Now it is May, and it is too cool, so you can see that there are no people, and it is very easy to draw.
I do not know if the camera sees what an amazing shade of green is in the sea!
In the distance, you can see the lighthouse with red light, which is reflected in the water.
Now there is no the moon here, so today I will draw without it.
However, if you wish, you can wait - 3-4 hours then the moon appears in the sky.
You see the darkness of the night, and we will begin to draw it in blue, brown, red, adding a bit of white.
I put some solvent on the canvas, as usual. There are enough bright light from lantern, so it is very convenient to draw now.
I take the blue color as the main, and add different shades.
It is important to add white to give a density, because the mist is not to be transparent.
If you take only the blue color, it will be unnatural, so I add the pink and brown.
Amount of paint should be large enough to be tight.
You can use the color ultramarine, or just blue.
As usual, at first I show just this environs, and after going to enter the rest.
You can toned canvas with not so dark color - it would be easier to work with it after the first coat.
Nevertheless, I do not.
As the water is a little light, I take a white, slightly pink and yellow and light show in the foreground.
Now I have to press down lightly paint with a palette knife. I show a white foam while only approximately.
It is necessary to add a little purple to white; it always looks wonderful with the color of green.
The waves are like serpentine, crankle slides over the shore.
Before applying it to the canvas, it is necessary for you to practice.
From time to time, I have been waiting for the waves to see how she goes and finds the water on the shore.
I think you noticed that the wave first curls, and then falls down - this is achieved such movement of a palette knife.
I put white on top of the wave, and then force down palette knife - there is an effect of roundness of the wave.
Now I see what is going on with the wave when it come up to shore.
The remains of the foam that rises with a wave, the costs of such a trajectory, as I show.
I paint them white, with the addition of pink.
Just beyond the rolling waves, there are a very dark pit, after which again there is a wave.
I take the blue, brown, red to show the darkness of the pit.
Water is a bit green, and I show it right after wave.
You see, I always use a rag after each touch to the canvas.
It turns out the effect of the falling water.
In the foreground there are rocks, they are lit and slightly pink.
This movement by palette knife creates an effect of multiple stones.
You can take more paint to make it thick.
Now a little amplifying edge of water that periodically is very expressive.
From the edge, crawl illuminated areas of white foam.
For the first wave of the dark pit, followed by a second wave.
It is not big, and only slightly distinguishable under the light of lanterns.
It also has a foam, which I paint with white color, and it shows a vertical drop of water.
Behind it where is the mists of darkness,
but it is important to see that the color of the sea in the distance should be darker than the color of the sky.
Yaltaís lights illuminate the horizon, and I make the sky a little brighter.
Again, press down paint with a palette knife.
You can add a few more hints on the waves in the distance.

The second protagonist of the picture - is a lighthouse.
Sometimes it shines, sometimes it turns off.
The lighthouse is white, but it is not as white as the foam.
We think that it is a little pink. In fact, it is not, but it looks so against the background of the blue-green sea.
Do not make a lighthouse in the middle, and it is better to do on the sidelines.
Generally, in your pictures do not draw anything in the middle, it is better to shift slightly to the side. I draw the elements of land, leading to the lighthouse, and I specify the lighthouse itself, but when it comes light, these specifications are almost invisible, so I draw a very conventional. They are very clearly visible reflection of the light at the lighthouse, as well as on the elements of architecture. They can show a pure white color because they looks very clearly. At the lighthouse, there is a very warm red light. I take the red, and add a bit of white and yellow, and it did not start painting the lighthouse and on the water. Of course, the paint cannot compared with the living light, but it looks quite convincing.
Sometimes the foam in the foreground is so white that perhaps I will make it brighter.
You can see that at first I put a lot of paint, and then distribute it and show the foam.
Note that the left has fallen foam on the water and on the right it is just starting to fall.
To balance the brightness of the white left, I add a little of the same shade, and on the right, where the water is on the shore.
You see that white is starting to look quite harmoniously, as I distributed it in different amounts on all sides.

Now people come here, so periodically triggered by camera flash - I advise you to do not pay attention to it as I do.
In the distance, you can also make some reflections of lights - perhaps there are the ships hereÖ In addition, once it became clear that the lighthouse is a lot closer than the distance horizon. I looked into the camera - it looks like the picture is much brighter than it actually is.
I am adding more thick paint on the rocks; it gives the effect of a set.
I am doing here is the same movement - and whet blow to the side.
You can add dark stones.
I do this in the horizontal direction as the plane of the shore as a plane sea is horizontal.
It should show the remaining foam, they are almost transparent and very warm - I show them in pink.
I am just chasing the paint here and there, until the effect of swaddling clothes.
On the right is the same.
You can see that the rising vertical stripes give the effect of waves,
and whipped horizontal stripes give the effect of horizontal, and it is becoming more harmonious.
I put the palette knife on the edge and show areas inconspicuous foam.
Well, now my sketch is ready.
The most important thing in this picture is that we passed a state atmosphere.
I think that the camera will not be able to pass all the nuances of color,
especially the nuances of long dark haze, but I think I made the sketch you can and having a camera with you,
you are doing the work.
As once, Mr.Aivazovsky did here - he did not write his paintings from nature - he just looked,
and then went home and painted there. Well, you can modify it at home.
You will feel it and you can repeat it many times at home.
