So in this video we're going to be continuing our conversation about how to think about
scratch phrases. So again, it's most important that when you are scratching, you think about
the scratch in your phrase, think about the scratch that you're performing, and even be
able to articulate it with your voice. Ready? Let's go. So what I'm going to show you, is
I'm going to play the scratch, and then I'm going to articulate it for you.
And after that you should be able to go do-wah-dah-do-wah-do-wah-da-do-wah-deck-a-deck-oo-deck-it-do-deck-a-deck-it-do-dah-do-it-deck-it-do-dah-deck-it-do. You should be able to think about it in your
head before you're doing it. This is just like a jazz musician. A jazz musician would
practice small little phrases, and then be able to string the phrases together, but the
whole time he's able to think about it in his head while doing it. This is no different
than any of that.
