There are a few home acne remedies that work and they're also inexpensive which is nice.
One is you can take raw unprocessed honey and use it as a spot treatment on your pimples.
You can leave it on for about 30 seconds. This has both anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory
properties. The second thing you can do is mix one part apple cider vinegar with eight
parts water and use that as either a toner, a mini chemical peel once a week. The third
thing I think can be helpful is these new devices called tria or tanda. These are blue
light devices that you can hold over each pimple for a certain number of seconds. While
I don't think they're as effective as the blue light treatments you can in a dermatologist's
office, they are safe and can help. Two home remedies I don't particularly reccommend,
one is using baking soda on your skin, and the reason I don't recommend this, is our
skin's natural PH is acidic and baking soda is sodium bicarbonate which is alkaline. So
when you put baking soda on your skin you're changing the PH of your skin and I don't think
that's a great idea. The other popular home remedy is putting toothpaste on a pimple.
While some people swear by this, for most people it's gonna really irritate the skin,
burn the skin around it, so I really don't reccommend it.
