Here I have a few guinea pigs to explain you things about
food,
the food dosage for guinea pigs.
For small mammals and rabbits, I always tell you that hay is
very important, they have to have generous amounts of hay available to avoid
dental overgrowth and have a correct intestinal transit. You will find
over 50.000 different brands and types of hay in the market.
and
it is very important to combine them.
Here I have a few, so its very good that they taste
as many as possible
Hay is dry grass, and its great to give them a variety as
wide as possible of different hays, different brands, different plants,
so they have a rich and diverse diet.
But also
the most important to have in mind, is that the guinea pigs are like
humans, neither both can we sintetisize our own vitamin C. We have to take
vitamin C from an external source, and here we have a platefull. As you can see,
it is very rich in vitamin C, with all types of fruits and variety of vegetables, that can be
changed every day.
You can see carrots, peppers,
citric fruits that also have a lot of vitamin C, so we can give them
a wide variety so they can choose what they like best.
Its better you feed them at the end of the day, or
between noon and the afternoon. By the end of the day, feed them a corrector.
The corrector is basically fodder. In the fodder you will find the crude materia
difficult to find in the fodder.
I here show you a fodder of what we more or less
recommend,
where you can see the pellet, and is where you will find
all the
mineral correctors, feeding vitamins and is
a variety of
what we more or less recommend, but
feed them only at the end of the day,
approximately two tablespoon full
for an adult animal,
and only one tablespoon full for a young animal.
But all manufacturers will indicate on all feeding bags,
which is the recommended daily intake for your pet.
