\ It's pretty easy to add a new topic to the
discussion area of the members lounge, but to do that you have to be in the dashboard
view. When you log in or navigate to the Member Lounge, you may instead be directed to the
Member Lounge landing page. If so, simply scroll down the right hand navigation until
you see the link "Site Admin". Selecting that link will take you to the Dashboard. \
\ Once you are in the Dashboard, find the left
hand navigation and find the word "Posts". Under that, you should see "Add New". If you
don't see "Add New", then click on the "down arrow" to the right of the word "Post" and
then you'll see "Add New" and select that link.\
\ When that window opens, you will see that
you can create a new post by first typing in the name of your post. For example I'm
going to type, "Proposing a New Holiday". then, scroll down a bit and you can say whatever
you want to say about your post. So I'm going to write: I'd like to propose a new holiday
that honors our profession. What do you think?\ \
Once you have typed in what you want to say you can go back and add formatting to that
just like you would in a Word document.
Once you have it exactly like you want, you want to go over and find the button that says
"Submit for Review." If it is submitted correctly, you will see the words "post submitted". You
will also see "status: pending review". \ \
This will generate an email message to me and I'll go in and approve your post and then
it will go live in the Member Lounge. You can see what it is going to look like by selecting
that link
and it shows what your new post will look like.\
\ That's all there is to it. Happy posting and
let me know if you have questions.}
