We are at Towson University's Involvement Fair and we're hoping that students
especially new students
come together and get involved with everything we have on campus.
And we have with us about a hundred and seventy different student organizations
campus departments
as well as nonprofits in the local area here advertising themselves to
our current student groups.
Historically we've had very very good success with our fall involvement fair in
particular with new transfer and freshman students trying to get involved
on campus
we're probably estimating at least 3,000 students will come through today
Only goal is to get in touch with as many people as I can
to create as many relationships as I possibly can, to just reach out
and
bring in people and tell them why it's important to get involved
in our group but hopefully just involved in general.
You learn so much, you build relationships with people, you learn leadership skills, you
learn
all these things that actually apply in the real world. You have to get
involved because your experience
here will evolve tenfold. The social framework of the university is strengthened by people who go
to involvement fairs and they're involved in it. They typically learn in the classroom
and apply it to life outside the classroom.
Get involved with whatever makes you feel the best. Whatever lights you up the most,
go after that, do that get involved with it one hundred percent.
