My name is Jason. I'm with Hi-tech Window Cleaning. And in this segment, I'm going to
explain the different types of mops or applicators that we use. The first one is just a straight
mop. It doesn't turn at all. And this is made by Unger. Tory and Sorbo also make mops. This
one is just a straight mop. The inside of it is plastic. So it's very light. It's also
very durable. And it has channels that actually hold a lot of water. So when you dip it in
the bucket, you can do quite a few windows from one dip. On the inside of a house, of
course you don't want to have a lot of water. You want to wring it out as good as you can.
And you can still get quite a few windows done doing it that way. The other type of
mop, this is made by Sorbo, and it does swivel. This is good for pole work, to where you need
to swivel a lot. The mop covers are pretty important. They make abrasive mop covers.
We don't use those very often. We choose a mop that holds a lot more water so we can
do more windows per dip. This is called the super soaker. We get it through ABC Window
Cleaning Supply. And these last quite a long time. The cost for this setup is about $35,
and that includes the mop cover. To replace the mop cover, they're between 8 and 12 dollars,
depending on where you get them. And this is a metal channel. It does not hold as much
water as the plastic, but they don't make swivels in plastic. So that's how we use it.
