To find the second step of any scale you have to go up a whole step which is two half steps,
B to C to C sharp. I know I am saying that a lot but you will not believe how confusing
that is to people so always pay attention to the fact that B and C are half steps and
E and F are half steps.
There is the Dorian mode that is C sharp branching off the B scale or minor seventh chord, C
sharp, E, G sharp, B and the dominant seventh chord F sharp, A sharp, C sharp, E. Then the major seventh chord B to G sharp
to F sharp to A sharp.
