Hi, Welcome to Matrix Television.
I am currently with Marie-Laure Larrieu, professional makeup artist for Matrix events.
Marie-Laure, tell us what makeup shades should a woman wear when she has red hair?
With Red Hair, I recommend khaki. It is both a cold color as it is because
of its blue tones and it is also warm because of its gold tones.
A red-haired woman could put a champagne color on the inside of her eye
for a pop of light and khaki outside.
After, if she wants, she could put more khaki for a green effect.
It's going to give her something really warm that would match perfectly with her red hair.
What makeup shades would you recommend for blondes?
Blonds are lucky! They often have light skin that suits almost any makeup color.
But... Quite often blonds wear makeup that is too dark.
I suggest that they use pink: this year's hot colour, inspired by the 1960's.
So, pink inside, slightly clear and brown outside, this will warm up blonds and will contrast with their hair color.
What about brunettes, what is the best color to use on their eyes?
For a brunette, what is important is to go with contrast and to get light.
Go for a champagne color inside. But it is very important to avoid using black on the outside of the eye, nothing that could make the eye dull.
Go with something that has more light: greys, khaki, blues. Those colors are really interesting for brunettes.
Thanks Marie-Laure, your advice helps us a lot!
