A recent study showed that your behavior seem to be just as important as the
foods you choose when trying to lose weight.
The study focus on four behaviors that can make a difference.
First, setting a routine by eating breakfast and planning out your meals around your
day can be very beneficial.
Second, it is a good idea to look at your relationship between eating and TV,
meaning it can be helpful to just eat in the kitchen or portion out your snack before sitting down to
watch TV so you don't lose track of how much you're consuming.
Third, if you know you will be away from your dorm for a meal, try packing a
bag full of some healthier snacks or try choosing baked chips or nuts if you're out.
Fourth, it has been shown that people who kept track of calories, physical activity, meal replacements,
and planning habits had lower BMI's and more weight loss,
so keep these activities in mind.
It's also very important not to go to extremes and become overly analytical of your diet, but
just be mindful of your habits!
