This is going to be a crochet strawberry
Please share your ideas on how you will be using your crochet strawberry
we will be using 4 ply worsted weight yarn
and a size G 4.25 millimeter crochet hook
we will be using fiberfill
or the stuffing of your choice for the inside of the strawberry
we will start by attaching a slipknot to the crochet hook
take the loose and wrap it over the main strand, know you have a loop
take the loop wrap it over the main strand
put your hook below the center strand back up the opposite side this creates the Slipknot
work a chain three

join with the beginning chain
putting your hook through the first chain
wrap yarn over pull it through pull through the loop on your hook
we have turned the chain into a ring

I am going to be using the continual round
this is where you work the first stitch below the two loops at the top of the stitch
instead of joining this will eliminate the seam and uneven joined rounds
we will be working two stitches in each stitch around
that is two
there will be a total of 18 stitches on Round two

that complete around 6
and you can see this is on the outside
this is what it looks like on the inside
and we do have the sides forming and this is what it should look like at this point
round seven is going to be a decrease round
we will be working the first single crochet
the next stitch will be a single crochet decrease
we are going to be working in the front loop only
typically we would go below the two loops at the top of the stitch
but this time we are going to work to the front loop only
wrap yarn over pull through the two loops on the hook
leave both loops on the hook
put your hook through the next front loop only
wrap the yarn over pull through
yarn over call to all three loops
The next stitch will be an individual stitch
You can decide if you want to work the front only or go to both of the loops
That's up to you its preference
the next stitch will be a decrease
we are working the front loop only
putting your hook through the front loop
yarn over pull through
put your hook below the front loop only of the next stitch
yarn over pull through
there are three loops on the hook
yarn over pull through all three loops
I have done decreases by going to both loops
and it does leave some little holes
this is a technique that was shared with me by a viewer on my Facebook page
and I do appreciate this
it does make your work look a lot nicer by working the decreases in the front loop only
through your ideas or suggestions
I've learned a lot from all of you everyday
please so welcome to contact me and share your thoughts and comments
at any time
I will be working the next individual stitch front loop only
going through the front loop
yarn over pull through
front of the next stitch yarn over pull through
yarn over pull to all three loops
we will have a total of 12 stitches on round seven
so that will be six stitches
this is number 7
a decrease is going to make number 8
working to the front loop only
an individual which is nine
a decrease will be 10
working to the front loop only
an individual which is 11
and the final decrease for stitch 12 on round seven
and this is what the stitches look like
and it is a nicer technique
than going through both loops
the front loop only closes in the gaps and makes it look a whole lot nicer
Round eight and nine will be one single crochet in each stick around for a total of 12
that's number one

this is what we have through round nine
I am going to stuff the inside
I may not need all of this
round 10 will have 4 decrease stitches
we will be going from 12 stitches down to eight
work the first stitch as an individual
then a single crochet decrease
working through the front loop only
that stitch 2
the two reduced stitches count as one single crochet
this is number 3 working through the front loop only
this is number 4
Stitch 5 working a decrease front loop only
this is stitch 6
7
working the final decrease for number eight
this is what it looks like at the end of round 10
round 11 will be four single crochet decreases
this round maybe a little bit challenging
it is alright if you can't get all of them
you can so the rest of them shut at the end if you can't get all of them
because it can be a little bit tricky
I am going to go ahead and show it anyway
This is working in the front loop only Stitch 1
this is working in the front loop only
The stitches might even be hard to see
I have worked mine tight so it's even hard for me to see
this is number 3
and we are working them down so the end closes up completely
and I have barely enough room to work one more stitch
I may or may not be able to get it here
yep I'm going to be able to get it
and this is what I have at the end
and if you can't get it, just sew the end shut
and I am going to adjust my fiber fill on the inside with my crochet hook
just by poking it on the inside
I have already cut my yarn
I am going to wrap yarn over and pull through
like that
and then continue adjusting the fiber fill
I'm going to make it knot here at the end
like that and I want to sew on into the inside here
like this
and then put on up
I'm going to make another little knot here
right up here
And I want to sew it to the inside
like that and then cut off the yarn
No I'm going to work my tail here
at the beginning
I did crochet right over the beginning tail
and went to make a knot here
And we've the tail between the stitches
like that no I want to make the little seeds on the strawberry
so I'm going to take my 4 ply yarn
and pull it apart
in strands of two a
and I have maybe about 3 feet
And I am just pulling it apart like this
and you want to be careful not to get it in a mess like I am getting it
it might be easier to work with smaller strands of yarn
I have threaded my needle
I am going to sew to the inside here like this
and then pull this on and to the inside
I want to be careful not to pull it back out
I am way to make a little not down here to secure the yarn
I am going to make my little seeds
just in random places around the strawberry
just like that
And you can make them wherever you want to make them
And even if they were in order
this is crochet
so you can make your seeds anyway you want to
you can make your strawberry without seeds
you can make your strawberry with flowers
You can put smiley faces on your strawberry
its up to you
use your imagination and have fun making your strawberry
This is going to take a little bit of time
so I'm going to go ahead and finish working my seeds
this is an optional idea
if you want to add seats on to your strawberry
I have to finish sewing my little seeds on here
now I'm going to make a knot
I'm going back down around one of my stitches down here
Like that
and then I'm going to sew iit to the inside
and push it through the opposite side like that
and pull it on through
And cut up the yard like that
Then you can get a little tug like that if it is still showing through
that completes the main part of the strawberry
now we will make some leaves
This is going to be the leaf section
I will be making six leaves for mine
they're all attached and worked on the same section
I'm going to show the first two with the red yarn since it will show up better on camera
This is how they will look
and I will show how to join them together at the end
I'm going to work a chain of seven
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
Work one single crochet in each of the first three chains
that's one
2
3
Work a half double crochet in the last three chains

We will work it changed 7

this is what the leaves look like
I have made six
you can make as many leaves as you would like to make
at this point I'm going to work a slip stitch in the first stitch
wrap the over pull through
and I'm pulling through a little bit of extra yarn
And that will be for sewing it to the strawberry
I'm going to sew the thread through this inside round
and then pull it so it closes shut
Like this
I am going to make a knot so everything stays in place
Like that I'm going to align it to the top like this
I'm going to go to the inside
On around the top of the strawberry
right here at the center and coming up
and I'm going to go up a little bit and catch some of the leave
so it lays down like that
I'm going to move over a little bit so I go to another thread
into the strawberry
And then come up here to the other relief like that
I'm going to go inside to the strawberry
back over into the next leaf
then over little bit over strand
this is so I don't look back through over into the next leaf
Over a strand over into the next week
Over a strand it to the next leaf
and this is the last leaf
oh and I missed one
so this is what I'm going to have to do
is go back in this direction
and catch it like that
and then go back I've been to the center
And this is what it looks like
And I'm going to make a little knot right here
And then make a second knot
And I'm going to run my strand of yarn to the inside like this
and then cut off the yard like this and I'm going to pull it
and that completes the strawberry
