Hi I'm Richard and I'm the Activities Officer
Hi I'm Juliette and I'm the Education Officer
Yep I'm Emily Holliday and I'm the Operations Officer
I'm Sophie and I'm the Welfare Officer
My name's Imogen and I'm the Communications Officer
Hi I'm Kelly, I'm the President
So I'm doing pretty well with my manifesto
I've got started on all of the big points
My favourite one that I've started working on is the journal
I haven't actually had much time to work on my manifesto yet,
because we've been preparing to get funding and stuff from the University so we can do cool projects
It's going really well so far, we've just put together the Badger for freshers.
which has got loads of exciting information about how to get involved in student media and all of our societies and sports
One of my other manifesto pledges was to do with getting students to get more involved in the union and getting to have their own say
We're putting together a new strategy this year and we're going to have loads of student feed-in to that which is really exciting
I think my manifesto is very much more about the long-term
so there's stuff that, it's not really going to be short wins, its going to take a few months perhaps to do but I think I've got the wheels in motion
Progress towards my manifesto is going really well actually
We've got the new sports membership which is starting very soon
We've just introduced our new Saturday night which is called ANTICS at Wah Kiki which will be really cool
I feel like I'm being pulled in many different directions and my manifesto is very useful for kind of giving me a guiding principle
so if there's just too much stuff going on I can just kind of leave the irrelevant bits
There is so much to learn and so much to get your head around
I think I've kind of got a grasp of all those little things now
so it means that I've been able to spend the summer doing some stuff that I probably wouldn't have been able to do last year
cos I know who to go to and I know who to ask and I kind of know how to do it
It's really interesting, I love it
The role is completely different to what I'd imagined it to be.
There's so much everyday stuff that you never really think about
You always just think about what you're going to do to change stuff but there is a lot of everyday things as well
I really love the role, it's amazing, it's better than I thought it would be
Yeah good, still just as busy as last year if not a bit more
I've been quite surprised by the role, it's sort of changed my opinions on lots of things and opened my eyes to a lot of different issues
I've been really surprised by some of the decisions that we've been asked to make,
just kind of my opinion on subjects that I'd never really thought about before
I'm proud of the language cafe
One thing that I'm really happy is probably going to happen this year and is starting is the Community Reps stuff
One thing that I'm really proud of doing so far is, we've just finished putting together the freshers Badger which is 20 pages of new content for all of our freshers which looks really exciting
We've started to get the reuse scheme reorganised.
We've secured an extra grand for Sussex Switch-off
I'm really excited about getting down and rewriting our strategy this year and getting loads of student involvement to get loads of new ideas and reshaping the Students' Union so its more what students want
I'm really looking forward to meeting the newly elected Reps and I can't wait to work with them this year
One thing is Out There Officers actually, so this year, one of our main priorities is - we'll see how this goes - but between us to visit every club, every society, every department
I'm looking forward to Freshers Week actually, it's going to be an exciting time
Seeing some of my ideas come to fruition
