Hi, this is Don Crowther with a Very cool social media strategy. This is one done by
Uncommon Goods and what they did is a put up a page on their Facebook which I imagine
you could do on Pinterest and in other places too. It says "Our community voting app is
overflowing with new designs. Does this is Aqua Raindrop Pendant have your vote? And
then there's a link and a picture of it.
And then when people click that link they go to this page which gives them the ability
to vote. Now the voting is not up there right now but apparently they had a "I like it"
"I don't like it" kind of voting that happened right up here. And then what they do is they
say "Be the first to know" so that they can put their e-mail address here. If they decide
to buy it then everyone here who has done that will get an e-mail that says "Hey come
buy this."
Brillian Strategy. Your'e doing market research in advance before you've got the opportunity
before you actually buy it pr stock it or create it and you've also got a list of everybody
who is interested in buying that particular product. Then down here they've also got the
opportunityto tell your friends and they've got the ability to put a comment.
Great little strategy. You can go on to the next item so they got a consistent voting
strategy going here that is a great way to use social media. Because not only do you
get the social media clicks and you start engaging your audience but you also get real
pure market research that helps you to understand whether or not your audience is going to want
to buy this or not.
Great idea strongly recommend you look at it.
This is Don Crowther. Just go do this stuff.
