The opening of the surrealist exhibition "Posthuman" by Domen Lombergar...
We were at the exhibition opening of "Posthuman" by the young artist Domen Lombergar.
In Hotel Mons Domen unveiled a cyberpunk opus of artworks where he presents the interaction of humanity and machinery.
In my exhibition "Posthuman" I am literally as well as artistically playing with the idea at what point
the human still experiences his humanity and at what point it's marginally small that it dissolves into a machine-like impersonality.
Lombergar uses female bodies to present us with his vision of the future. Through his distinguishable style he explores the relationship
of organic and mechanical, tangles and intertwines them, creates and updates his grotesque *** universe.
Well, I will not be hiding the fact that I prefer women to men, it's my personal preference and through the sheer beauty of
the female form i can transmit much more feelings in a visual style that woud be possible in just about any other artistic way.
Domen Lombergar is a slovenian artist who presents us trough his imagery a trifle different, grotesque view of the world.
His artworks are a sort of visual provocation, purposefully created to envoke emotion in the viewer.
Where do you get the ideas for your work, the inspiration? --I was inspired bu the classical sci-fi, like Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke,
practically by the beginnings of cyberpunk in the 50s to the 70s, which were also playing with this question and I would like to take
it further. But do these images feel *** for you or are they grotesque? --That is a question that each individual needs to answer for himself.
To all that wish to explore the "Posthuman" exhibition you have time until the 6th of March.
