Job Opportunities for Fashion Stylists Hi, I’ts Ty from Ty Style Me on behalf of
the QC Style Academy! Do you love fashion as much as I do? I’m
an image and wardrobe consultant. I’m also a fashion blogger. The possibilities are endless.
Now, more than ever before, there are plenty of opportunities to work as a fashion stylist.
I myself, not only blog about fashion and styling tips and outfit inspirations, I’m
also a personal shopper. Seriously, it’s awesome. I LOVE my job and what I do for a
living. I also work for myself, and you can too. Maybe it’s not shopping that you love,
but styling in general, for women or men. There are plenty of options when it comes
to this end of the fashion industry. I style clients for events; I also style clients who
are looking for direction and help on creating looks for their everyday life.
Maybe you’re not interested in personal shopping or styling. Do you have a creative
side? Use it! Start in retail. Create looks for displays for your favorite brands. Dress
mannequins in the latest fashions and styles. Use your creative side putting together looks
for customers. Take it even further! Maybe retail isn’t your thing, but you love fashion
and you’re creative. Do you know how to spot trends before they even happen? Do you
follow your favorite designers and know what’s going to be hot in the upcoming season? Then
you could probably be a fashion merchandiser, also known as a buyer. This position is crucial
for any retail company. As a buyer you’d be responsible for stocking the shelves and
floor with what customers want to buy. Buyers work closely with designers. It usually requires
travel, but it’s an awesome job. Also fashion styling is needed for film, editorial,
and TV. In the future as my career grows, I want to break into that side of fashion.
It’s fun being behind the scenes, being the one who creates the looks for a magazine,
movie, and much more. All of these jobs are attainable with talent, hard work, and training.
Educate yourself and look into the QC Style Academy Fashion Styling course. In this course
you’ll learn about the history of fashion. You’ll learn how to spot trends, how to
market yourself and look like a pro to land your dream job – whatever it might be.
Until next time, keep dreaming. Anything’s possible.
