We've always tried to give people tremendous amouts of really powerful weapons. And, you
know, that was great for about seven years, and then we realized "All these people are
sending us disaster because people wanted Half Life 3." How incredibly scared I was
when, you know, they had completley mastered the world. And, you know, what's going on?
What have really been exciting to me where going after the people who play our games.
Bullet impacts occur really far away, where as a crowbar tells you exactly where people
are in front of you. And I think that's one of the reasons that the sort of subtile interaction
that the crowbar have with people makes in such a satisfying weapon to use. Right, we
worked very *** getting the people to play our games fit into three buckets. We
just wanted to execute the world! We've seen a lot of the potentials for what we could
do. You know, somebody who bought Half-Life, who downloaded Counter-Strike for free and
you know, seven years later they ended up being scarier.
