Hi everyone good evening last time i explained how to install teamcity in tomcat and run
that in macos. So... now, this time we can see how we can install a plugin in teamcity.
there are lot of plugins inbuilt in teamcity but you might need some extra plugins thats
not inbuilt in the package so i will show you how we can install that. so i have downloaded
a plugin called deploy runner . we will install this. this is developed by jetbrains themselves.
you can get a lot of third party plugins also. its upto you which one to use. its upto your
needs. so lets see how to install. you have to go to buildserver folder. it will be here.
~/.BuildServer . In it you can see these folders: config, lib, plugings and system. Before we go further
i believe you have teamcity installed. if not you can refer the video uploaded on that
topic by myself.
Now I am goin to install deployer runner plugin. so... what you have to do is copy deployer
runner zip to current folder. We are currently in plugins folder. Now you have to run the teamcity. When you run it, it will
automatically unzip it and do what ever to be done and the plugin will be installed automatically.
So.. to start teamcity you need to change directory to /Library/Teamcity/bin and run
sh runAll.sh with parameter "start". now that will run. Now it should have installed your
"whatever" plugin. you can see an unpacked folder in plugins folder. In it you can see
your plugin is unpacked and it will be working perfectly.
If you are already running your teamcity and
you need to install a new plugin. then what you have to do is you have to shut down your teamcity for that you can run runAll.sh stop and copy
your plugin zip to plugins folder and again start teamcity.
