In health news, vegetable and fruit consumption is linked to a reduction in dementia. Dr.
Karen Ritchie, a neuropsychologist at the French National Institute of Medical Research,
and colleagues discovered increasing mentally stimulating activities could lead to lowering
new dementia cases by 18%. In addition, eating more fruits and vegetables and eliminating
depression and diabetes would also help to decrease new incidences by 21%. The results
were based on monitoring the cognitive abilities of more than 1,400 people aged over 65 for
more than seven years. The study has been published in the “British Medical Journal.”
Our thankfulness, Dr. Karen Ritchie and team, for showing another good reason to adopt the
vegan lifestyle, as well as other positive habits. May healthy ways of life lead to a
vibrant state of body and mind
