[Mayor Sam Katz] At this point in time
I'd very much like to introduce my friends,
Canada's own Tenors, please.
[Cheering and Applause]
[Clifton Murray] It sounds like the Mayor has a voice in him actually.
[Remigio Pereira] The Mayor is awesome.
[Victor Micallef] The Mayor knows what's going on. This is great.
[Gail Asper] And we're going to be presenting you
with the symbol of our museum,
the star pin, the ubiquitous star pin that reminds us
to reach for the stars and be human rights stars.
So thank you!
[Remigio] Thank you very much Mr. Murray This is an honour
[Fraser Walters] Beautiful, Thank you so much
Well, we're honoured and thrilled to be here
With all of you
And some of the workers up there. Say hi guys.
[Acclamations des ouvriers]
[Clifton] Getting it done. [Victor] Nice.
[Fraser] So the first song that we'll perform for you
We feel describes what we do using our voices to share
and to contribute in everyway that we can
We feel that it also reflects the energy and the goal
of this wonderful museum.
The song is based on the prayer of Saint. Francis.
This is called "Instrument of Peace"
[Instrumental Piano Playing]
[Fraser Singing] Where there is hatred
Let me bring love
Where there is doubt
Let me bring faith
Where there is falsehood
Let me bring truth
Where there is pain
I'll comfort you
[Clifton Singing] Where there is silence
Let me sing praise
[Victor Singing] Where there's despair
Let me bring hope
[Clifton and Victor in unison] Where there is blindness
Let me bring sight
[Victor] Where there is darkness
[Clifton and Victor in unison] Let me bring light
[Remigio Singning] And with these words I speak
Grant that I may not seek
To be heard, but to hear
To be consoled, but to console
[All Tenors in unison] Not to be seen, but to see
To be loved, but to love
[Remigio Singing] For when we give love
We will receive
[Fraser, Victor and Clifton in unison] We will receive
[Remigio Singing] When we forgive love
We'll find reprieve
[Fraser and Victor in unison] It is in dying
We'll be released
[Fraser Singing] Make me an instrument of peace
[Music Ends]
[Victor Speaking] Thank you very much
[Applause and Cheering]
[Victor] Thanks Guys, Thanks Guys
[Victor] Awesome. Wow.
That was a special - You know - A special song we had on our
Christmas Album released two years ago
and we have a new album coming out October 30th
That we're really excited about.
And there's a song on that album that, um
It... It speaks about our journey, But I think tonight it also speaks
about the journey of the creation of this incredible monument,
This, museum of....
It's an incredible thing to be here and seeing it be developed.
This song it called "Lead With Your Heart"
and there's so much to be said about that
I think having to create something like this
It can only come from the heart
And the messages that you were telling us about earlier
about look at other peoples perspectives and other peoples beliefs
and trying to all come together as one
was such a beautiful thing to hear from you
and also we like to carry that message with us wherever we go
This song is for all of you, for all of your hard work
and creating this beautiful space
[Fraser] And we'll be back here in Winnipeg on Feburary the 20th
Right? At the MTS Centre
Here's "Lead With Your Heart"
[Instrumental Piano Music]
[Fraser Singing] In this world
It's hard to tell the shadow from the light
What is real
Can find a way to hide behind the lies
Don't be fooled Or ruled
By voices all around you
'cause your road will always be revealed
[Fraser and Victor in unison] If you lead
Lead with your heart
[Victor Singing] It's the one thing you can trust
to always come from love
[Fraser and Clifton] and it will shine right through the dark
[Clifton] Like a northern star to show you what is true
[Victor] You'll never lose [Fraser] | You'll never lose
[Victor] If only you
Will lead in your heart
[Remigio] It takes the beautiful unknown
and somehow makes you feel you're
[Remigio and Clifton] Home again, finally home again
And there's no longer any doubt
[Remigio] What the mystery is about for you
and what you should do...
[Fraser] Lead... Lead with your heart
It's the one thing you can trust
to always come from love
[Fraser, Clifton and Remigio] Lead, lead with your heart
[Victor] | Lead with your heart
[Fraser, Clifton and Remigio] It's the one thing you can trust
To always come from love
[All Tenors in unison] And it will shine, right through the dark
[Fraser and Victor] Like a northern star to show you what is true
[Remigio] You'll never loose [Victor] You'll never loose
[Remigio] If only you... [Fraser] If only you...
[Remigio] Will lead with...
[All Tenors in unison] | ...Your heart
[Fraser Singing]
[Clifton and Remigio Singing]
[All 4 Tenors Singing]
[Fraser Speaking] Thanks again for having us everybody
[Clifton] Thank You [Remigio] Thank you everybody
[Cheering and Applause] [Victor] Thank you so much
[Music Ends] [Cheering Continues]
