Greetings everyone
Today, we review the Z-Tactical Bowman Style Gen 2 headset
And its wireless PTT (also Z-Tactical)
The Headset is good looking
The A-TACS pattern looks greats and does not go off
The microphone is flexible and keeps the shape you give it
The headset is adjustable, it can fit any head size
The headset is very comfortable
It can be worn with a cap or a helmet
The only drawback is the one piece structure
The microphone is always on the left cheek of the operator
which can be an issue for left handed operators
If you are left handed, choose a gen 3 headset
you can select the side you want the microphone.
PTT (Push to talk) allows operator to choose when they speak
Push the button to send a message
This PTT is available with various types of wires
allowing it to be compatible with any kind of talkie walkie (here a Midland G7)
This PTT has a unique specificity: a wireless remote
A classic system forces the operator to use one of his hand to send a message
This additional remote has a picatini compatible plastic support
It allows the operator to keep both hands on the airsoft gun while talking
Beware, the remote cannot work without the main PTT device.
This one needs a CR123A battery (not included)
to keep the connexion with the wireless remote
and the remote needs a CR1220 battery (included)
Also, don't forget to activate the wireless option
by pushing the small switch in the back of the main PTT device
Also, don't forget to switch it off at the end of the day to save the batteries
Z-Tactical also indicates that each remote has its own PIN embedded with the main PTT device
Thus, if several operators have the remote in their squad
they won't interfere with each other communications.
This is a great product, tested and approved.
