Hi! I'm Tim Ricke from timricke.com on behalf of Expert Village. In this component we're
going to talk about guiding the business. There are 3 different people involved in guiding
the business. When you first start your business, guess what, you're all 3. The first is the
visionary, entrepreneur, the one that has the idea that is going to be a huge business
some day. Is that you? It probably is, but you're also the manager of that business.
Whatever you come up with you have to put into action and that means it has to be managed.
The third is the technician, the person that is actually doing the work. Let's look at
those. The visionary; you come up with these great ideas, you put it in place and you turn
it over to your manager. We'll say that now you have hired someone. Based on the structure
of manuals line I mentioned in earlier tapes. The manager takes your idea and implements
it to the technician. The problem the manager has is oh no you're changing it again, but
it's necessary for you to make your business better and better. They're just going to have
to go along with it. Last of all, is the technician who thinks oh no not again. I just got it
the way I want it and now they're changing it again. But you will have these 3 people
within your business. Whether it's you or the people that finally branch out within
your business. Keep in mind the best place for you to be is the visionary, because if
you're also doing the technical work, you're not going to have time to develop those manuals
or that management position. You want to get yourself out of there. As soon as you can
afford to do it, get out and do that.
