Hi there, Dave here.
Do you have a disc that's stuck in your disc drive
such as a CD, DVD or Blu-ray disk?
Well in this video I'm going to show you 6 easy ways
of how to get that disc out of the disc drive.
This works for desktop PCs and laptops.
So let's get started...
Method number 1
close any windows that you have open
then wait a moment
then press eject on your disc drive.
This can often work because you may have a program that's open at the moment
that's keeping your drive shut.
Method number 2
if you have a disc drive cover like this one
the button on the cover might not be connecting with the disc drive itself.
In this case, open up the cover
and press the button on the disc drive itself.
Method number 3
your disc drive might have a faulty eject button.
In this case you can click on 'Start'
'Computer'
right click on your disc drive and select 'Eject'.
Method number 4
Restart your computer, then eject your disc.
Restarting your computer can often cure many problems.
Method number 5
turn your computer off completely
then as soon as you turn your computer back on
press the eject button on your disc drive just like this...
power on, eject.
Doing this means that Windows and any programs
cannot interfere with the ejecting of your disc.
And finally, method number 6
turn your computer off completely
then using a thin metal rod such as an opened paper clip
push the thin metal rod into the hole at the front of your drive.
Let me show you a close up of this.
So push the thin metal rod into the small hole...
pull the drive tray out...
and take out the disc.
So that was the 6 methods for ejecting a disc that's stuck in your disc drive.
So that's it for today
thanks for watching
see you next time.
