Welcome to, How-to upload and make videos from Blackboard into YouTube
In order to do this you must have already made your YouTube account.
Your first step is going to be logging into your Blackboard account. Next, select the course you want to
make a video for. Once you have selected the course, go to your "Course Tools".
Once you are in you "Course Tools", select Discussion Board. In your Discussion Board section, there is an option to "Creat Forum" near
the top of the page.
After selecting "Create Forum" name your Forum whatever you wish to call your video. Now,
unlike a traditional Discussion Board, select the Webcam Icon on the bottom left of the toolbar.
This page will then show up. In order to record selcect "Record from Webcam"
This will activate your webcam or built in camera. Once you are ready to record your video, select "Start Recording".
On this pop-up meassage, select "OK".
to allow Blackboard to record and uploaded video on to your computer. It will not harm your computer.
This feature is excited, as you can see here, I am very excited about my 2second long video.
Once you have ended the recording, you may choose to "Start Over" or Upload. A message about you video will appear like this- Leave it as
is.
Continue on to select "Insert" at the bottom right.
Your video will be inserted into your Forum Post as a yellow box. Nothing will be able to be seen necessarily.
Continue down to make changes to availability and such like any other Discussion Board Forum. After you have made your changes for
your preferences, select "Submit"
And just like that, you have a new video! The video can be found on YouTube and also on your Discussion Board Forum. Thank you.
