We're going to start by using a foundation brush. Foundation is always the first thing
that you do when you're applying makeup after the face has been cleaned and moisturized.
A foundation brush is a flat brush that's rounded. Like I said, this is a natural hair
brush so you can see the natural bristles and this brush has been cleaned. I'm going
to start by showing you two different types of foundation. This is a liquid foundation
which has lighter coverage. This is a cream foundation which has a little bit more coverage
but they are both transparent. I'm going to use the liquid foundation on Lindsay today.
I'm going to start by just applying a little bit to the brush. You want to wipe a little
bit away. You can start anywhere on the face and just do a light stroking motion. As you
can see, it just kind of fills in some of the impurities without giving it a gummy look.
You always want to put foundation on over the eye and into the hair line. Easy strokes
and use as little of the foundation as possible. If there are any dark spots or anything that
you want to cover, we're going to go over concealer. Now that the foundation is applied,
I'm just going to finish by lightly going over everything with a store bought sponge,
just to smooth what we've just applied. You can see Lindsay looks fresh but not covered
completely. After you are done applying your foundation, you want to immediately rinse
your foundation brush with some warm water and if it's a natural bristle, you can also
wash lightly with shampoo.
