X
The letter x. Again, we're back to that old problem of trying to figure out how to make
something that doesn't have a straight line, tip forward. So we'll try to de-construct
the x and see how that happens. As with many other letters, the x has a combination of
curve and straight lines. Now if we were to make an x with no slants, it might look something
like this. But we want an x that appears to slant forward, so we're going to take this
first stroke and move it up and the second stroke is going to move over. So if we were
to put a box around the x, the box might look something like this. We're going to fit the
x into that box. See if I can do that. That's going to give us our slanting forward letter
x.
