Can you give me reasons why you should NOT join a sorority?
You spend thousands of dollars to join a social group, which you could do for free on campus.
A lot of sororities also let you live in the sorority house.
If your purpose is to network and meet a lot of people, the sorority is not the place to
do it. You'll stay in a thought bubble of similar people instead of circulating.
I'll have an instant network of friends.
Who paid a lot of money to be there.
Sororities do a lot of charity and volunteer work.
You can do the same thing on your own at Habitat for Humanity or the food bank, without your
ideas being voted down or pushed to fundraise for causes you don't believe in.
I'd get invited to a lot of parties.
I thought you were going to college to earn a degree and get a good job.
I don't have to live in the dorms.
A lot of modern dorms are nicer than older sorority houses.
I might as well live at home if I'm not in a sorority.
It would be cheaper, and you wouldn't have sorority girls dissing your old friends or
new classmates as not being good enough for you.
You think sororities are a waste of money.
Spend several thousand dollars to live with your so called sisters, when you could live
in an apartment or cut your student loans by that much. And then you have to donate
to their charities, buy fundraiser tickets and spend money on junk for parties that cut
into study time.
I get to live in a house full of other girls.
And how many of them are going to pull you to events and social activities that cut into
your study time.
You make it sound like a waste of time and money.
It's worse than a liberal arts degree.
