from blues-rock, heavy metal, jazz fusion and an additional blend of guitar-rock. Beside
his own group, Jeff has been a member of The Yardbirds and Beck, Bogert & Appice.

June 25 1967, Following the Monterey Pop Festival, The Jimi Hendrix Experience gave a free afternoon
concert in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. They then played another two shows that evening
at the Fillmore West.
June 26 1977, Elvis Presley made his last ever live stage appearance when he appeared
at the Market Square Arena in Indianapolis. The last song Elvis performed was
"I Can't Help Falling In Love."
June 27 1987, Whitney Houston became the first female artist in music history to debut at
number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and the first artist to enter the albums chart
at number one in both the US and UK, while also hitting number one or top ten in dozens
of other countries around the world with her album "Whitney".

by Unicef.
June 29 2003, Beyonce's first solo album 'Dangerously In Love' started a five week run at No.1 on
the UK album chart with the album also going to No.1 in the US.

Stanley Clarke, born on this day in 1951 and 2004 American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino,
