designed to meet the educational and developmental needs
of students in relation to community standards,
civility, accountability, diversity, respect and truth.
The office works with a variety of issues
including, but not limited to,
freedom of movement, academic dishonesty, drugs,
invasion of privacy, *** misconduct, and theft.
It is the central coordinating office
for student conduct related matters at OSU.
Summer Li: My name is Summer,
and I will a second year MBA student in the fall.
And I work as a graduate assistant for SCCS.
SCCS offers a variety of services
including Victim Support and Reporting for OSU students,
information regarding OSU’s student appeals and grievances,
quizzes to test one’s knowledge on
policy violations, FERPA information,
and a list of campus resources for students.
Choosing to join the Oregon State University community
obligates each member to a code of responsible behavior.
Individuals and student organizations
are expected to observe the policies, rules,
regulations, and requirements of Oregon State University
as well as laws of cities and counties,
the State of Oregon, the United States of America,
and visiting other countries,
making sure to follow those countries’ laws.
The Student Conduct Code was created to establish
community standards and procedures
necessary to maintain and protect
an environment conducive to learning.
The code is based on the assumption
that all persons must treat one another
with dignity and respect
in order for scholarship to thrive.
Joining the OSU community
obligates each member to observe these policies.
The Student Conduct Code can be found on the SCCS website.
You are more than welcome to request a presentation
by Student Conduct and Community Standards staff
by calling or emailing the office.
The office has given presentations
at Greek chapter meetings,
