Hi, I'm Gary for Expert Village Let's see how to take our newly created business card
and make it so that it's in a format where we can use as a signature in our emails. The
first thing we want to do is we want to save it as a JPEG file. So we go down to Save As.
And now we have saved on our computer the JPEG file. So we're going to go ahead and
close this and we'll go into our email program. I'm using Microsoft Outlook and you go to
Tools and Options and we see that we have a mail format tab. We go ahead and click on
that and if you go down to the bottom we see that we have our signatures where we put the
settings for the signatures. So we go ahead and click on signatures and we have another
window open up. And in this window what we want to do is we want to create a new signature
and then we're going to use the file we created our business card. So we select new and we
give it a name and we'll go ahead click on next. Now what we want to do here is we're
not using text we're using an image. And it has to be saved in an HTM format. That's the
file name .HTM so I'm going to click on advanced edit. Now the program is going to tell me
that it wants to open up a Microsoft Office program to edit the image and save it in the
HTM format. So I go ahead and click on Yes, that it could open up this program and we're
basically using Microsoft Word. So I'm going to insert the file that we just created which
is our business card, and I'm going to put it in just like I would any file. And I go
ahead find the JPEG image, I click on it, click on insert, and here is our business
card that we created. So I'm going to go ahead and save. Now the image is going to be saved
in the signatures directory on our hard drive which is if we go here, we can see that it's
in the application data Microsoft folder and we have signatures. So it's automatically
going inside our signatures folder which is where it needs to be for the Outlook email
program to pick it up. So I'm going to go ahead and click on save. We see that the name
is a .HTM file, so I'm going to go ahead and click on save. And now I have I a business
card HTM file in my signatures folder I'm going to click on close. And now I see that
my business card is selected and I see it appears here. I?m going to click OK. And apply
and OK again. And now when I create a new email, we see that in my new email the business
card is going to appear on the bottom on every email that I send.
