To the north now;
'It's as if we've been hit by an earthquake, leaving us reeling'.
That's according to a Te Paatu elder from Kaitaia
about the former deputy principal of Pamapuria School, James Parker,
and claims of *** assault.
A point of safety for children; a strong presence in the community.
Now it's all fallen apart.
James Parker taught kapa haka to the children.
The kids, their parents and the wider community all depended on him.
The principal at Oturu Primary School is concerned.
That's where Parker began to teach.
Police warned the school in 2009 after a complaint
from a child and his mother.
It was ignored by the school.
Police believe the investigation isn't over yet.
