In the name of Allah, The Most Merciful and the Most Graciousand peace upon Muhammed the seal of Prophets and Messengers
Dear viewers, Good evening with eternal remembrance of Allah and Welcome to our programme "Aadhabu Al-anashiid"
In this episode, our honored guest has a melodious voice
and could make a major impact on the Islamic singing in the Emirates with confidence and pride
Welcome to my honored guest Ahmed Bukhatir in "Aadhabu Al-anashiid" programme
Hello my dear Samer
Usually we begin with the first steps in your career but I'm going to begin with the positive results you achieved In the Islamic singing
And now, Ahmed Bukhatir is a famous celebrity and successful
then we will talk about your future steps in this interview
So, how did you achieve these results that raised you to the celebrity status
And who helped you to realize such a distinguished success
and made you referred by competent and successful person
Thanks God, first it's the support of Allah (SWT) and then the encouragement of my family and my friends
Who helped me to select the best for my songs, to enhance my voice
And even to choose the appropriate melodies and how to sing
Maybe I'm different from other singers in the fact that I accept all criticism.
Before, I used to refuse all kind of criticism but now I raised myself because songs are dedicated to people
If people are enjoying my songs that's what I want the most
I was heavily criticized but I was accepting it to develop my skills to choose good topics, poets and melodies
It was hard but useful criticism and after a while I could understand that after God's conciliation,
and the interest of people in my work and their advices make me and that's why I'm here
There are a few but important Islamic singers in the Emirates who have positive impact like Usama Al-safi and Ahmad Bukhatir
You could reach an important level in this field by God's support and your own effort
Now, what is the most prominent Islamic production in this field?
It's obvious that UAE has a lot of Islamic singers that we don't know exactly where they hide
Personally, I tried in several occasions to find new talented Islamic singers to raise up to the public
As I could cross a long way from the beginning of my career till now, I preferred to build a band of 8 to 10 persons
and train them in order to hold in the future the same message I am holding now
-And then they become independent in this field -Exactly
Each one has a different voice and skills and then people will choose according to their own style
Some people like Ahmed Bukhatir, others prefer Usama AL-safiů etc.
-And it will be better to have several singers in the UAE, not only 2 or 3 -Of course!
And I'm pretty sure that many voices are better than the existing one
My goal is to provide several voices and skillful Islamic singers who will spread out the Islamic Call
You started as usual by discovering your voice in the school maybe or in the Quran's learning sessions
How did you really start your first step towards fame?
Good question. At that time, there were no interest or correct leading for such singing
But now we have to build Islamic institutes to teach vocalization and Islamic singing to the youth
To be well guided from childhood till becoming a great international singer raised by professionals
Like Abu Al-jud or Abu Ratib who were Islamic singers in the eighties or nineties
-You mean twenties -But I'm young. I knew them in the nineties not before
If they were teaching in institutes and my parents registered me there, I would overcome many problems I faced in my career
Like for instance there is an technique called Orabs in singing from which I was struggling
I had to travel to perform my singing with Orabs and meet people who taught me how to use this technique
This means that we still don't have that kind of centers in the UAE with skilled people and professionals
Now, we moved forward in this experience and created with hard efforts many opportunities
Like 'Munshid Sharjah' programme which is considered as an academy in this field
Young people are participating in the programme, trained for a whole month meeting music composers and famous singers
Even if they don't win the competition of the programme, they go back to their country well trained with an important background
So, why not an academy like that stable with skillful people and sponsored to allow young singers to perform
Who are fast learning like in some other countries
They have strong traditions and consider Islamic singing as a culture they have to continue developing
As we're talking about your first steps in Islamic singing, could you remember your first song which was the key for fame?
My first song was entitled 'kamtashtaki' extracted from a book I had of Aidh El-karni entitled 'La tahzan'
It was a challenge for me to enter the field of Islamic singing
I was at home browsing my books including the book of El-karni
I found a short poem at the end of the book. I composed a melody and sang it to my friends in the studio
Thank God, they liked it because my song was of different type
At that time in the UAE, Islamic singers were singing the traditional type called 'Jihadi' or 'Hamasi'
In my type of singing, I tried to add the spiritual side, some romance and emotional effects
So, I made an equilibrium between the 'Hamasi' and the 'poetic' type
Even Abu Ratib said to me: "you became an academy by this type"
Or a different type specially made for you
It has advantages and disadvantages
the advantage is that people could follow it as a different type of singing
The disadvantage is that if I could learn from a skillful singer, I would be more creative
Nice, now let's listen to one of your favorite songs and better if it would be a video clip
In order to be memorized by the viewers of our programme 'Aadhabu Al-anashiid'
My favorite song is entitled 'Yabunaya' and I like it because the video clip was illustrated by the famous actor Hassan Yusuf
And I really consider him as a father. The video clip was made in Egypt
