The food truck is homemade fresh food on campus it's things that aren't offered anywhere else.
The original purpose was to serve the under served parts of campus, like front campus
that aren't close to a dining facility.
Because I'm a fashion major and I'm always in Rockwell
Hall there's really no like close food places for us. So this would be perfect for us to
be able to get food.
People are excited about the homemade food on the truck. To start off,
we have a Summit Street Burger then there's a pulled pork sandwich. We have fresh cut
fries, corn, chicken, Mahi-Mahi, and pulled pork Tacos. Then we have a food truck salad
a recipe my mom has given me. People will lick the bowl clean when they're done eating it
and we have Chef Zoo's famous deep fried baklava. And one thing I'm working on right now is
like an open face Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich. We're working on like an Asian Rice
Bowl to do at some point. Different offerings in the fall maybe once it's cold. We're going
to have homemade chili on the truck.
Well I had the pulled pork with fries and ketchup
homemade super good, and I also had the baklava. I definitely recommend it.
The feedback on truck from the students has been
awesome everyone has been really excited. Everyone's asking
where are you going to be. When are you going to be? Are you going to be here everyday?
Is this through the fall? And the answer is yes to all of those questions. We're going
to be everyday. We're going to be in the fall. We'll be open all the time. And then as we
get busier and busier we'll be open more and more.
