All right today we're going to show you how to actually use an aquarium siphon. A lot
of people have them but a lot of people don't know how to actually use them and they end
up making a big mess out of their aquarium. When you use the siphon put it straight down
in the sand vertically at a 90-degree angle, give it 20 or 30 seconds, or 10 seconds per
spot, and then kind of lift up and turn to a 45-degree angle. That's going to allow your
dirt to go back down to the bottom, or your sand to go to the bottom, or your dirt to
float out. Excuse the big attacking fish, and do this inch by inch in your aquarium
and when you're done all your sand or gravel or substrate is clean and your tank doesn't
look like hell in the end.
