Now I’m going to talk to you about choosing frames for probably the least common facial
shape, which is going to be, at least for gentlemen, the heart shaped face. General
rule of thumb for the heart shaped face, for the guys, is that you want to have a lot of
vertical elements. Okay, in your frame, something that kind of rides up, in a woman that would
maybe be a cat eye shape, for a guy it’s obviously going to be different, you don’t
want to go with anything so feminine as a cat shape, cat eye shape. What you’re going
to notice here in this particular frame that is a Nautica that we’re going to use as
an example, the frame goes up on the corners, not so severe so as to give it the cat eye
look but it’s going to kind of move along your face, your facial features and turn up
at the side, at the corner of the eye which is kind of what you want to do. You’re kind
of giving a contrast to the heart shape, the heart shaped face when you go with a frame
that goes up on the corners. So that’s generally what I would look for, again, it’s not terribly
common to have this face shape if you’re a guy but if you do have no fear there is
going to be plenty of styles for you, just try to find something that may ride up at
the top.
