So you are having a little bit of stress in your life? I think that is one of the common
things with society today. Hi my name is Mark Brinson and I'm a doctor of oriental medicine,
physical medicine and human performance specialist. Stress can come from a variety of different
things and basically it can happen when you start to live an imbalanced life. Making sure
that you get in regular foods, get in some light exercise and especially good sleeping
patterns and good balance in life is very important and when I say balanced making time
for not only work but making time for your family, making time for yourself as in hobbies
all lead towards less stress, less cortisol levels making it easier for you to maintain
weight so if you want a few things that can boost that, a little alone time, maybe five
minutes to do a little acupressure routine can help significantly. I'm going to give
you a couple of points but I am also going to give you a general technique that you can
use that stimulates a channel that may help with this. One of the points that is very
very good for overall stress, mental acuity and balance in the body is due 20 which is
located directly on the top of the head. When you were a baby this is where the sutures
met. You are going to give it a stimulation directly downward and do this for 30 seconds
to a minute. From there you can move to a point called stomach 36. Stomach 36 is located
at the bump of the knee just lateral or to the outside in the belly of the muscle there,
the anterior tibialus giving this a little bit of stimulation or providing a little bit
o heat to it can significantly help with stress at all times as well. Now you are finding
yourself needing to calm down a little bit more and there is even greater stress you
can very gently do a stroking motion on the center of the chest, the breast bone in a
downward direction, light, easy for 30 seconds to a minute. A combination of these points
can help to reduce stress but also remember lifestyle is very important. Make time for
the things in your life that are important but also make time for yourself. Try to lead
