Hi, This is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village. And I am here to talk to you about
how to find supplies for your David Bowie costume. So once you have picked out the specific
costume design that you want it is time to get the supplies and there are different ways
to do this. One thing you can do is look on line and see different options there. You
can do a Google search and you can find items in Ebay, stuff like that, but I find it is
more fun to actually go out and find stuff in stores. One place you can look is a costume
shop because there you can find items like a wig which you definitely want to get at
a costume shop because you have the most options there and you really don't want to get something
like this at a second hand store. You don't want to wear a wig that someone else had been
wearing. A second hand store though is also a good place to look especially when you are
getting things like pants and top because there you can find items from the 70's and
the 80's that really match what you are looking for. So for example, this jacket here comes
from a second hand store. It is not very expensive, it has a cool design and it can be altered
pretty easy. Another place you can look is a basic retail store where you're finding
items that really have to be tailored to you and you don't need someones second hand clothing.
So in the case of tights like these I didn't want to go to a second hand store. I had to
go to a retail store to get these, because I could get the exact color I was looking
for. And of course you are going to need to go to a drug store to get make-up and you
will want to go to a place that sells cheap jewlery like a costume jewelry store to get
costume jewlery. Another thing you can do is check with female friends and relatives
who may have old clothing they can lend you, stuff from the 70's and 80's. It's important
to take advantage of resources you already have like people who already have clothing
that you can use or going to your closet and finding old stuff you can use because there
is no sense spending a huge amount of money on a costume that you are only going to wear
once.
