>> Hi my name is Chelsie Hill and I live in Monterey, California.
My senior year of high school, I got in a car with a friend that had been drinking
and we hit a tree head-on which left me paralyzed from the waist down.
I'm a T-10 paraplegic.
At the age of 17 I became disabled.
I'm now currently on a wheelchair hip-hop dance team.
I have travelled all around the United States with Colours Wheelchair Company.
I've spoke to school all over California about the consequences of drinking
and driving and making wrong decisions.
And basically, my American Dream would be able to travel and speak to schools
and just get kids motivated to not take things for granted.
And I also started a non-profit organization called Walk and Roll and if I was
to win this money I would definitely put it towards therapy and to help me build stamina
and to be able to possibly walk again.
I want to be able to like help kids with disabilities to not see that they're different
because they're just like any other kid, you know,
like just because they have a disability now it doesn't mean we're different, you know,
we just have the ability to touch lives and share our stories.
And I then want to be able to get a speaking team together
so we can all travel and got to school.
So, that's my American Dream.
