Anyways, let's get going!
Hello and welcome to my very first review!
Today I am going to review the audiobook called
"Doctor Who at The BBC: The Tenth Doctor".
It is a 2 hour long audiobook narrated by Elizabeth Sladen. (R.I.P)
If you would like to get the audiobook and listen to it before hearing
my review, then click the link in the description below, where I have
left a link for audible.com where you can buy the book for 12.27.
Okay, let's get started!
"Doctor Who At The BBC" is a long series of audiobooks narrated by
famous people from the show. I picked this one because...
"Hey you got to start somewhere".
But of other "Doctor Who At The BBC" audiobooks there are
"A legend Reborn" also narrated by Elizabeth Sladen.
"The Plays" narrated by Sophie Aldred who played Ace.
and an entire series from Volume 1 to 8 about the different doctors.
But there is a lot more audiobooks about Doctor Who.
So many that I can't even count them.
But back to "Doctor Who At The BBC: The Tenth Doctor".
In this audiobook the dear Elizabeth Sladen who many times have
occured in the original series and in the new series.
Unfortunately we won't be hearing more audiobooks narrated by her,
because she died in 2011 of cancer. Anyways in the audiobook
Elizabeth Sladen takes us through 2 hours filled with interviews
with people from the show and a lot more, like for example
my favorite clip where David calls in during a radio interview with
Julie Gardner who at the time was a producer on the show.
He pretends to be a crazy fan who says he is related to Julie and therefor
wants to be in the next series of Doctor Who.
You can click right here to listen to the funny interview.
But let me be honest with you guys. Even though this audiobook is
great, I'd go so far as to say it is "fantastic" (get it?)
then I have to admit, I would not listen to the audiobook more then
once. Elizabeth Sladen presents it really well, but because the audiobook
is so filled with interviews from TV, then it sucks to listen to it.
For example, during an interview with the lovely Catherine Tate from TV,
she at a point says "oh look at that" of course taken out of context, but
that just sucks because I'm sitting here listening to the audiobook
thinking "what the hell just happened?", and this happens quite a few
times during the audiobook and that is why I can only give it 3/5 Tardis'.
And that's not only because of that, but also because it get's kind of
boring after like an hour of the audiobook because not that much
exciting is being said. But let me still make it clear: I really like the
audiobook and I definitely recommend it, but.. if I had a Tardis and
could go back in time, I probably wouldn't have actually paid money for it.
Anyways, that concludes my review of "Doctor Who At The BBC:
The Tenth Doctor". I hoped you liked it. If you did, then please give
this video a like and leave a comment telling me what kind of
Doctor Who videos you would like me to do.
Also, I was really happy a couple of days ago when I heard that
the 106 lost Doctor Who episodes with William Hartnell and
Patrick Thoughton had been found! It was apparently found
in Ethiopia! Link to the article about in the description below!
I guess there's nothing more to say, then that.
I'll see you next time where I'll be showing you how to make
such an awesome intro like the one I have.
And remember, you can click right here to see it! Allonsy!
