There's four different types of gutter guards. There's your plastic type, your powder-coated
metal type, galvanized mesh, and also hedgehog filter. With the plastic range, if you do
live in a bushfire-prone area, don't use any of the plastic range. If there is fire close,
and you do have a hedgehog filter in, you need to remove the hedgehog filter straight
away.
The next type in the range is the galvanized mesh, which is only fire resistant. So if
you do live in that fire-prone area, you need to look at the powder-coated metal. There's
two types in the powder-coated metal. There is the square set, where the tile sits in
here. The second type in the powder-coated metal range is the ridged edge. With the ridged
edge it's perfect for your corrugated roofing.
You can get it in any color to suit your roof. To install it, what you need to do is a tech
screw at the front of the gutter. The first tile sits into the lower back portion of the
mesh. With the second type, the ridged edge mesh for corrugated roofing, what you need
is a tech screw at the front of the gutter, and another tech screw at the back to support
the mesh in place.
That's a quick overview of the gutter guard range. For more information, contact a Bunnings
store and ask a team member.
