Welcome to the SuperTintin tutorial. I know many of you are taking classes over Skype.
Do you know how to take advantages of all those classes using SuperTintin?
My experience is to record the classes so that I can review afterwards over and over again.
Now let's see how to record a Skype class. First, open Skype and SuperTintin.
I'm going to have an audio class with my Chinese teacher, so I'll call her.
Before I make the audio call, I set the mode of audio to "both" and video to "separate files".
Now I'll make an audio call and record it.
"Da Long Ni Hao." "Lao *** Ni Hao."
"*** 'Lao *** Ni Hao'." "Lao *** Ni Hao."
"Ni Hao." "Ni Hao."
"Yes it's pretty good." Well, my teacher corrected my pronunciation,
let me listen to it and practice again. Play back "remote", which is my teacher's
voice only. "Da Long Ni Hao."
"*** 'Lao *** Ni Hao'." Well, it's "Lao ***". Correct, I need to practice.
Play "local" to see what I said. "Lao *** Ni Hao."
See? it really needs to be improved. I'll practice more later.
I chose "separate files" because it would save my voice in one file while my teacher's
voice in another. It helps me copy the accurate pronunciation or accent by listening to my
teacher's voice and practicing over and over. It also lets me know what I should pay attention
to or how to improve my listening to my own speaking.
There are other options, too. You can choose "both" for audio and
"audio only" for video, then you'll get 1 mp3 file including both the voices. Or you can choose
"microphone only" or "speaker only" to record either you or the person you are talking to.
I'm sure you'll find a great way to record your Skype classes with SuperTintin.
Improve your language or any other classes you are taking, using SuperTintin over the internet.
Now just go on to try it and pratice. Have fun with SuperTintin. Good luck.
