...the total subjection.
Who among you are already married?
Would you mind if I have a chitchat with you just for a second?
Who among you are already married?
As married women,
do you really totally subject yourself to your husbands?
I really mean, totally?
Maybe some of you
just go somewhere whenever they please without telling their husbands.
Or she might want to sell her television
she wouldn't tell her husband
She would just go ahead and sell it.
That's not what the Bible says.
It states: "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection."
"But I suffer not..."
In verse 12.
"... a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence."
just like what the Scriptures state.
"For Adam was first formed, then Eve."
"And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."
Therefore, the way Saint Paul puts it
as to why the woman was made under the authority of the man
implies that women can be easily deceived.
Women naturally give in to men's persuasion without much effort.
Don't they? For just some little "sweet nothings" she forgives.
Let's say they're mad.
Then the husband slyly goes
"You should not believe them".
"You're the only one for me."
"Don't you trust me anymore?"
Then he kisses her.
Then she goes, "Really?"
That's how they easily give in.
That's what happens.
Women can be easily tempted.
They are emotionally and physically weaker than men.
If there are women who are stronger than men, they are the exceptional ones.
As a Spanish saying goes, “No hay regla sin excepcion”.
But generally, women are weaker than men
even when it comes to temptation
That's why
Satan went after her first,
Satan knows very well
that the woman is weaker
Therefore, God said to the woman,
In order for you not to give in to temptation,
nor get influenced by the evil,
you have to subject yourself under your husband’s authority.
“But I suffer not a woman to teach,
nor to usurp authority over the man…
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
And Adam was not deceived,
but the woman being deceived
was in the transgression.
That’s why, as for Biblical perspective,
women should be submissive
to men.
What kind of submission?
Let’s read from Ephesians 5:24.
Therefore as the church
is subject unto Christ,
so let the wives be
to their own husbands
in everything.
There is a comparative statement
given by Saint Paul here.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ,
so let the wives be to their own husbands
in every thing.
Therefore,
we can safely conclude
that the true Church
is conquered by Christ in everything.
Christ rules you in your eating,
He rules you in your clothing.
He rules you in your marriage.
in your dealing with your fellow men,
in your work,
in parenting,
And even your hair,
Christ has a law concerning that.
Everything you do until you die
is subject to the law of Christ.
That is why Christ is called
“The Great Conqueror”.
You must be in total subjection to the will of Christ
before you can become a Christian.
Sisters, women should really submit to men.
According to the verse,
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ,
in everything,
so let the wives be to their own husbands
in every thing.
Now, you’re married women,
let’s say, your husbands are real Christians.
We’re not talking about husbands who are drunkards.
If you follow such men,
you might as well become a drunkard yourself.
The men we refer to as the ones to be subjected yourselves to
are Christian husbands.
You follow his lead in every way.
Now for married women,
are you really prepared to follow your husbands totally?
Does that mean even the dress I wear?
Of course.
It says, “in everything”.
If your husband says,
“I don’t want you to wear mini skirts."
"You must not show your thighs to someone else,”
Follow that.
Why?
If I were your husband,
why would I let you wear a mini skirt?
You let your thighs
that you’re supposed to show only to me
you let everyone else to see.
And because of that, men *** after you
Maybe you go for dresses that are closed-neck
but your *** are exposed.
Is that right?
Lewd men will keep chasing you because of that.
Won’t they?
What’s going to happen then?
It would result to *** incidents, violence, or any form of *** abuse.
Why?
Because of the manner of dressing up that is not in accordance with the law [of Christ].
That’s why,
there’s nothing wrong with following your husbands
If the husband is ruled by Christ
or faithful to God,
follow him in everything as Christ says.
Even with your clothing,
your food,
even when talking to other people.
You should follow him.
Christ has a rule that if you’re a married woman,
refrain from having relationships with other men.
It’s unbecoming of you to still flirt with an unmarried guy.
You will be tempted if that’s the case.
Therefore, if your husband says,
“I don’t want you to be talking with that guy neighbor of ours.”
Then you go, “I can’t believe it. You’re very strict.”
That’s for your own sake.
There’s nothing wrong will happen to you.
You won’t be tempted to commit adultery.
There are many adulteresses nowadays. Am I right?
Why?
They flirtwith other men
to the point that they get into relationship with them.
That’s wrong.
That’s why there’s the law that women should follow.
If I were you, If I were a woman,
I would think 77 times first before getting married.
Why is that?
Come to think of it,
if you’re a married woman, it’s your obligation to follow your husband.
You’re no longer able to do as you please unlike when you were still single,
for instance, you get to choose which perfume to wear regardless of the scent.
Other people can’t complain
but if you’re married and your husband dislikes your perfume and he goes,
“I don’t like your perfume. Try something else.”
"But what’s the matter? It smells good to me."
No, I don't like it.
See? You even fight over a perfume if you don’t change it.
You also have to wash his clothes.
When you were still single,
you might even have had your mother wash your underwear.
Therefore, you have to consider carefully before getting married.
That means you’re going to serve someone.
He is going to be the one managing you.
If you’re not comfortable with that, then, don’t marry.
Otherwise,
follow the law of Christ.
And it says women
are subject unto to their own husbands in everything.
That is the law of Christ.
Now,
Is it possible
for you not to follow
but you let your husband
follow you?
Can you reverse that?
Let us read 1 Corinthians 11:3, brethren.
But I would have you know,
You should know this.
Are you Christians?
If you're true Christians, you should know this.
I don't know with those who say they're Christians
but they do not know this.
What is it?
I would have you know
according to Paul
that the head of every man is Christ;
Who is the head of the man?
It's Christ.
Go on.
and the head of the woman is the man
Who is the head of the woman?
It's the man.
Then?
and the head of Christ
is God.
Who is the head of Christ?
It's God.
That's why there's a hierarchy.
First, it's God,
which is the Father
Am I right?
Then, the Christ
which is the Son
And then,
the man
then,
the woman
There it is.
Can we put Christ on the top instead?
Do you agree?
Christ said
In John 14:28, let us read
If the Father agrees
or if Christ likewise agrees
that He should be in place of the Father
Let us read.
